We take as much care in shipping your Dwarf Mountain Chocolatiers order as we do in making our delicious confections. Our special environmentally friendly, insulated shipping containers and cold packs are included in the shipping charges. We offer next day delivery (excluding Saturday) or 2nd day delivery; review the details under UPS Options below. You can also specify the delivery date that works best for you. Please use the ‘Contact the Dwarves’ link to delay your delivery to a later time. Because temperatures vary across the country, we do not ship over the weekend in order to ensure premium quality upon arrival. For this reason, do not expect Monday deliveries. We sell and ship within the United States only and NOT to international addresses, APOs or PO boxes.

Your chocolates generally ship within 48 hours after placing your order based upon our shipping days. Orders are shipped Monday thru Thursday only for arrival the next business day or the second business day based on the level of service selected. Review the chart below:

For most locations in or near Colorado, choose UPS Ground service and save money on shipping. Review the UPS Ground Map below.

If your shipping address is in the East or West choose UPS Second Day Air for guaranteed delivery by 4:30 pm for businesses and by the end of the day for residential locations. These perishable goodies will be fine up to 72 hours in their protective shipping containers (see below) but will not last ‘over the weekend’ or ‘in the shipping department of your company.’

Additionally we offer an option for UPS Next Day when it’s absolutely, positively necessary to receive a chocolate fix tomorrow. We call it a Chocolate Emergency! These things happen.

Because our chocolate confections are very delicate and perishable, we use special temperature controlled shipping containers. Environmentally friendly, insulated boxes combined with low temperature, food grade gel packs keep our chocolates at “refrigerator” temperature. Our chocolates should always be refrigerated immediately upon arrival and never frozen. If you receive them at work, they will be fine until you take them home. If you choose to open them at work, two pieces of advice…

Everybody who learns of these special confections will want one! We suggest sharing a taste of your treasure, while politely referring them to DwarfMountain.com. Remind them of the joys of “sharing” when their treasure arrives. Dwarves love to “bank” on future dark chocolate.

After removing them from the shipping container, put them in a refrigerator, preferable under guard!

We do require proof of delivery from our third party shipping partner UPS. You may be required to sign for your package at their sole discretion. Shipments may at your option, be received at a location other than your billing address. Simply specify an alternate under ‘Shipping Address’ in the shopping basket. Be mindful of your choice of next day and second day delivery. Upon shipment we will send you an email detailing the package information with a tracking number for your convenience.
