U.S. Special Operations Command History
The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM or SOCOM) the unified combatant command charged with overseeing the various special operations of the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. Headquartered at MacDill Air Force Base, SOCOM wanted to chronicle its history from formation in the aftermath of the attempted rescue of hostages at the American embassy in Iran to the date of publication in 1999. 
This was a high visibility product distributed to leaders in the executive branch and congressional committee members overseeing policy and budget affairs. Produced in full color, four over four with combat photography from the theater of battle, many declassified for this publication. A full bleed perfect bind cover also featured a matte varnish.
Beyond telling the important story of silent warriors who are the tip of the spear, many of whom made an ultimate sacrifice; this publication provides a glimpse into how America prepared itself for challenges that lay ahead in a few short years… |

Pinkard Constuction Company - 45th Anniversary Timeline

To celebrate 45 years of strong stable growth, Pinkard Construction Company required a marketing piece highlighting milestones and accomplishments. This piece was initially created as a blown-in insert to Colorado Real Estate Journal's March 2007 issue. Popularity of the piece required an additional press run utilized for other marketing activities, recruiting events and trade shows.
Maintaining continuity of look & feel with their recently completed website redesign initiative. A “steel frame” concept was united with a unique timeline graphic on a brushed steel background. Important project imagery from the company's historical archives connect with callouts of important achievements.
Produced by traditional offset printing with full bleed all around, 2 up on the press sheet, 4 over 4 plus aqueous coating on 60# cover, scored and gate folded to a finish size suitable for a 6x9 catalog envelope. |
Carpet Cleaning & Hot Pants!
 The client: Namco Manufacturing franchise in Tampa, Florida; selling carpet cleaning equipment, consumables and general commercial cleaning supplies on a wholesale basis to apartment complexes, hotels and other industrial institutions. Combining a full margin retail store and wholesale distribution to larger institutions required a flexible printed catalog system to accommodate various price points for different market segments.
Using available artwork supplied by corporate partners (hot pants and all), Dwarf Mountain Digital produced a GBC comb bound directory containing product descriptions and prices for customers and prospects. Strategically placed equipment advertising supports outbound sales representatives to close machine sales, sustaining ongoing consumables in an easy to maintain format, printable in-house, on demand, in full color. Developed in Microsoft Word® with easy to maintain tables, sales representative are able to customize price points, competing more effectively with larger national competitors. The “print on demand” model supports infinite flexibility to define a more profitable relationship with customers. |
